The popularity of latex, air and memory foam mattresses is increasing, but still, the innerspring mattress is the most selling bed type. And among innerspring products is a Serta Perfect Sleeper, one of the best sellers in the whole bedding industry. Is this really the best choice you can make, or are there better solutions? Lets find out more about Perfect Sleeper mattress to figure that out.

Serta, as a brand, is one of the biggest in the industry and has the lowest return rate. It produces more and more mattresses each year and manages to sell them all, more then any other brand. But we all know that big number of sales does not imply quality. For example, King Koil, Jamison and Sealy will all tell you their beds are the best. Then, who should you believe after all?

Let’s see what you actually get with a Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress. The number of coils is an important factor and most units have 532 of them. But it is possible to get even more then that, King Koil has 532 of them too, while Kingsdown has 832 in one of their more expensive models. This tells is that while coils are important, they are not everything. It’s the configuration that matters too, and the gauge and number of turns. And this is where Perfect Sleeper shows good quality. Its coils are made out of high tampered steel with sufficient turns that will offer durability and comfort. And these coils are zoned too, placed on the spots that our body is pressing the most.

You also have to compare the upholstery, along with the quilts. The bottom upholstery on Serta mattress is made out of fire resistant materials while the top layer is made of foam. Th thickness varies, depending on the specific model you select. The thickness ranges from 2″ and more. The models are Firm, Plush, Pillow and Euro-Top.

The quilt is known under the name of Advanced Comfort and it has rolling peaks of foam and fibers. It is a good quality quilt, although you can get better then this, if you are willing to pay for it.

As you can see, there are plenty of features Perfect Sleep offers and these are all the benefits you will enjoy in while sleeping. Depending on the configuration you choose, you will have a chance to enjoy in of the best mattresses on the market. If you have some troubles figuring out which model is the right choice, make sure you don’t forget about the coils and layers. Remembering names will be hard since Serta has so many of them for the same series of mattresses. Just make sure you get something that suits you best, and you will have a good night of sleep and full batteries in the morning.

I believe the Perfect Sleeper product is the best built product for the money. It will of course depend on the retailer you are shopping, but price point to price point there is more in the Serta Perfect Sleeper at each level than the competitors bed. The top quilting actually has what is called Advanced Comfort Quilt which is a patented feature specific to Serta Perfect sleepers, Vera Wang and Perfect Day models. It revolutionized the bedding world and adds value to the beds that the competition has yet to be able to counter. The Advanced Comfort Quilt is an egg crate style foam that relieves pressure point disturbance and allows for a restful, tossing and turning free nights sleep. The innersprings are amazingly strong in comparison to other top brands such as Sealy and Simmons, resulting in an impressive low rate of return and very little motion from side to side which some brands talk mostly about to avoid the talk about their high return rates. The Serta product is a combination of comfort & support. I believe in Serta, I sleep on Serta and so do my children. Get one for yourself, you won’t be disapointed but remember the number one thing is COMFORT! Make sure you find a Sales Professional who takes the time to ask you how your sleeping and does a comfort test with you to find the right comfort level. If you can make room in the budget I recommend looking at Serta’s Vera Wang collection or the Premium Perfect Day collection. These beds will have a higher price upfront (well worth it) but a much lower cost to you over time. They will outlive the competitors beds by years and offer the best comfort layers you can find such as Kool Comfort Memory foam and Talalay Latex. Kool Comfort memory foam is an open cell structured foam which breaths cooler than Tempurpedic and offers the same benefits. Talalay Latex is the “Gold Standard” of latex and has a level of pressure relief, durability, support and comfort that is head and shoulders above the rest. Remember, if you are lucky enough to get 8 hours of sleep a night, that’s a third of your life that you sleep in your bed. You deserve the best bed your budget will afford. If you don’t get those 8 hours a night find a way to get it! But if you cannot, then its even more important for you that whatever you get is restful and refreshing. Don’t make the mistake of not investing in yourself, go get a new Serta bed NOW!

I couldn’t agree more. It’s about the hardest thing to shop for since they all look the same – a big rectangle with a sale tag hanging from it. But when you do get a chance to compare the construction of the Serta matts against similarly priced competitors you can really start seeing the gap widen. The coil system has been mentioned but one thing that struck me was how everything was put together. In almost all other matts I looked into, if they had a foam encased edge support the thick border rod had been removed. Not Serta. They leave the border rod in to truly make the entire mattress a useable sleep surface. Also, all the foams are connected starting at the foam encased edge. You’d be surprised how many mattresses I researched that looked simply like a bag of foams – nothing connected. How is that going to hold up? In the end I purchased a Perfect Day and I’m getting the best nights’ sleep I ever had. Until someone comes along and does it better ( good luck ) I’ll be on a Serta mattress.
